    Requesting an Appeal of a Building Official Decision

    A request for an appeal must be submitted in writing to the Secretary of the Board. The Building Official’s written opinion, which is the basis of the appeal must be a part of the submittal request. The Board has the power to affirm, modify or reverse the decision of the Building Official regarding Code issues. (Refer to BORA Form - Instructions for Requesting an Emergency Appeal PDF

    A request for an appeal under the historic building exception must be submitted in writing to the Secretary of the Board. The Building Official’s written opinion, which is the basis of the appeal must be a part of the submittal request. The Board has the power to affirm, modify or reverse the decision of the Building Official regarding Code issues.
