    What is the size of Specimen required to test glass blocks?

    The specimen shall be 4' x 8' and built as specified in the South Florida Building Code.


    Where do glass block specimens have to be impacted?

    At the center of the block nearest to the center of the specimen, and 6" away from a corner.


    Question 1 for glass blocks specifies that you must test 4' x 8' samples; can you use 4' x 4' samples instead?

    Yes.


    Do all sizes of glass blocks have to be tested?

    No. Miami Dade County has allowed testing the largest glass block your company wishes to receive product approval for and smaller dimension glass blocks will be accepted for approval.
