The air quality in Miami-Dade rarely falls below the Air Quality Index (AQI) range of 'Good', but when it does, people with sensitivity to air pollution such as the elderly, the young, and those with respiratory conditions, can be affected. Air quality information is recommended for individuals with respiratory illnesses, schools, day care centers, hospitals, and hospice and elderly service facilities. The Department of Environmental Resources Management (DERM) is offering the Air Quality Notification Service that you can customize for your own needs, allowing you to protect the health of yourself and your family. By notifying you about our air quality, you don't have to go searching for it!
