Flood Legends

Notice to engineers, architect contractors and owner builders

It is strongly recommended that these Legends be included as part of the notes in the plans. Plans that do not include appropriate Flood Legend will be disapproved.The flood legends are in AutoCAD format (DWG) files.

Flood Legends

In order to simplify, customize and standardize the information required, this office is providing legend sample forms in accordance with each type of project. All building permit plans for new construction, additions, remodeling and repair projects submitted to the Environmental Resources Management's Office of Plan Review shall have as part of the plans notes Environmental Resources Management's Flood Legend (attached forms will not be accepted). This legend provides the minimum information required by Miami-Dade County Code Chapter 11C SECT. 3-C-4.
