For Teachers
If you are looking to enhance your classroom experience, the Environmental Education & Communication Office can help you! To find out more about the resources and opportunities below, please call the environmental education staff at 305-372-6784.
- Staff can assist you in contacting local Environmental Education Providers to arrange for a presenter and/or presentation materials on any number of environmental topics. Both class room and on-site educational opportunities may be available.
- We can also try to arrange for a staff member to make a presentation to your class. Please keep in mind that Environmental Resources Management receives a large number of speaking requests each month. While we are not able to fulfill every request, we always try our best to locate appropriate staff members that can fulfill your needs. Please keep in mind that the period of March - May is particularly busy due to ongoing Earth Day and Baynanza events. Three weeks advance notice is required.
- Environmental Resources Management also has a small library of environmental education materials such as curriculum, lesson plans, educational videos and similar items that are available for review during regular business hours.
