The U.S. Embassy in Port Au Prince has set up a task force at the Embassy that is taking calls as conditions permit. The Embassy is working to identify U.S. citizens in Haiti who need urgent assistance and to identify sources of emergency help.U.S. citizens in Haiti are urged to contact the Embassy via e-mail to request assistance. U.S. citizens in Haiti can call the Embassy's Consular Task Force at:

The State Department has also created a task force to monitor the emergency. People in the U.S. or Canada with information or inquiries about U.S. citizens in Haiti may e-mail the Haiti Task Force or call 888-407-4747. Outside of the U.S. and Canada, call 202-501-4444.

Haitian citizens in the U.S. should call the Haitian Embassy in Washington, D.C., 202-332-4090, or the Haitian Consulate in Miami, 305-859-2003.

- There is no policy in place for a Pedro Pan Program for Haitian Minors
- There is no Humanitarian Parole Program - or Humanitarian Visas yet
- The Government of Haiti in collaboration with Unicef has set up a task force for vulnerable children without parents.
- A Communication Hub connected directly to the US Military and UN Base in Haiti, the hub has been set up specifically for family members in the U.S., to request assistance for family members in Haiti that are in hard to reach areas and need urgent medical care, food and water: The contact number is 447-624-802-524.
