Miami-Dade County Parks operates four 18-hole courses, two 9-hole golf courses, and one mini golf course.

Splash into Safety

Boys and girls are taught to swim by certified American Red Cross Water Safety Instructors. Various levels of courses are offered for children and adults, plus Parent & Tots (ages 2-5). To register for the Learn to Swim Program call your nearest pool for more information. Program runs during the summer months.

Tom Sawyer's Play Island

Watersports Complex at Amelia Earhart Park

The new Miami Watersports Complex at Amelia Earhart Park offers cable wakeboarding, boat wakeboarding behind the award winning Super Air Nautique G23 wake sport boat, wake-surfing, waterskiing, kneeboarding, and paddle boarding. Make sure to check it out!

Celebrate 4th of July with a waterfront fireworks show at Black Point Park & Marina

Enjoy the great outdoors while exploring the park’s bikeways, scenic jogging trails, or 1.5 mile long jetty into the Bay. Grab a delicious bite to eat and raise a glass to Old Glory at Black Point Ocean Grill, the dockside restaurant and bar; or bring a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy a family picnic. The waterfront fireworks show starts promptly at 9 p.m.

TripAdvisor Showers Miami-Dade Parks with Awards

Trip AdvisorTripAdvisor recently presented Miami-Dade Parks’ Zoo Miami with its first-time “Hall of Fame” award and a “Certificate of Excellence” for the fifth consecutive year. 

“Certificate of Excellence” awards also went to the Deering Estate at Cutler, Amelia Earhart ParkHaulover Beach ParkCrandon Tennis Center, Fruit and Spice Park, and Crandon Golf Course

 

Three Miami-Dade parks voted ''Best of Miami 2015''

Amelia Earhart Park, Black Creek Trail and Kendall Soccer Park have been recognized as “Best of Miami 2015” by the New Times’ annual readers’ poll.

Miami-Dade Parks Receives NACo Achievement Honors

Miami-Dade Parks is pleased to announce that it has received the recognition for five 2015 NACo Achievement awards, for multiple joint projects in various categories:

2015 Summer Savings Pass

The Summer Savings Pass unlimited admission to Zoo Miami, Miami Seaquarium, Lion Country Safari, and Museum of Discovery & Science for one low price, and is valid from May 15 - Sept. 30. The costs is $56 plus tax, per adult and $46 plus tax, per child (ages 3-12).

2014 pass holders are eligible to purchase this pass for only $31 plus tax, per adult, and $21 plus tax, per child. To qualify for the Summer Savings Pass discounted rate, your Annual Pass must be valid through Sept. 30, 2014. Also, only named guests on your account are eligible for the discounted rate.

Heads Up: Concussion in youth sports

To help ensure the health and safety of young athletes, CDC developed the Heads Up: Concussion in Youth Sports initiative to offer information about concussions to coaches, parents, and athletes involved in youth sports.

The Heads Up initiative provides important information on preventing, recognizing, and responding to a concussion. It's Better to Miss One Game Than the Whole Season!
