Register for the USA track and field meet
Kids around Miami-Dade will have an opportunity to show off their running, jumping and throwing skills on June 6 from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. at Dade Christian School, located on 6601 NW 167th, Hialeah.
The meet is open to youth ages 18 and younger, and the cost is $5 per athlete.
The Underline Public Meetings - June 23 & 25
Miami-Dade Transit and Miami-Dade Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Departments, in partnership with Friends of The Underline, is seeking public input concerning the proposed master plan for The Underline. The Underline is a 10-mile stretch of biking and pedestrian trails and park spaces located beneath the county’s Metrorail between the Miami River north of Brickell and Dadeland South stations.
Area residents, business owners and visitors are encouraged to attend and participate in the interactive discussions. Each meeting is designed to gather feedback on preliminary designs prepared by James Corner Field Operations.

Heads Up: Concussion in youth sports
To help ensure the health and safety of young athletes, CDC developed the Heads Up: Concussion in Youth Sports initiative to offer information about concussions to coaches, parents, and athletes involved in youth sports.
The Heads Up initiative provides important information on preventing, recognizing, and responding to a concussion. It's Better to Miss One Game Than the Whole Season!
Walkability in Miami-Dade County
The video focuses showing effects of health on creating a walkable neighborhood. It touches on the dangers of our city becoming car-centric.
