Greynolds Love-In Party in the Park

Celebrate music from the 60’s, 70’s & 80’s during the 11th Annual Love-In Party in the Park, presented by Catholic Health Services on Sunday, May 4th from 11 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. at Greynolds Park. Rock icon Eddie Money will perform for the first time at this year’s event with an all-star band!

Youth Sports Championship

The Mayor's Youth Sports Championship Series aims to build and support a strong foundation of organized sports throughout Miami-Dade County, through a series of sport championships coordinated by the Miami-Dade Parks Department and the local governing body of the individual youth sport.

Fit2Play Summer Camps

Camp will be held June 9 - August 15, 2014, Monday - Friday, from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m., at 31 Miami-Dade park locations and offer 7:30 a.m. early drop-off and 6:00 p.m. late pick-up options.

Party for the Planet at Zoo Miami

Party for the PlanetZoo Miami’s Earth Day celebration, Party for the Planet, will be held Saturday & Sunday April 26 & 27, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. The Tropical Flowering Tree Society will be hosting its annual plant show and sale. Enjoy fun "green" activities and entertainment for the entire family as well as animal enrichment with recycled items and/or natural materials like newspapers, cardboard tubes, bamboo, old tires, fire hoses, and more. Guests can come in free of charge if they turn in a cellphone as part of our ECO-CELL phone recycling program. 


Heads Up: Concussion in youth sports

To help ensure the health and safety of young athletes, CDC developed the Heads Up: Concussion in Youth Sports initiative to offer information about concussions to coaches, parents, and athletes involved in youth sports.

The Heads Up initiative provides important information on preventing, recognizing, and responding to a concussion. It's Better to Miss One Game Than the Whole Season!



Walkability in Miami-Dade County

The video focuses showing effects of health on creating a walkable neighborhood. It touches on the dangers of our city becoming car-centric.
