It's midsummer but already parents are planning for their child's return to school and Miami-Dade Park and Recreation offers parents a variety of Out-of-School programs at an affordable price for children ages 6 - 14 at select park sites throughout the county.

Deering Estate
On Sunday, September 5th, enjoy the Labor Day Blues Picnic with musical entertainment by the Blackstar Blues Band. Located along the edge of Biscayne Bay, the Deering Estate at Cutler offers a variety of tours, programs and special events.

Heads Up: Concussion in Youth Sports
To help ensure the health and safety of young athletes, CDC developed the Heads Up: Concussion in Youth Sports initiative to offer information about concussions to coaches, parents, and athletes involved in youth sports.
The Heads Up initiative provides important information on preventing, recognizing, and responding to a concussion. It’s Better to Miss One Game Than the Whole Season!
