Black Beach Over ViewIdeally located close to Biscayne National Park, this marina is a great starting point for fishing and diving expeditions. It has a dockside restaurant and bar, Ocean Grill Restaurant, large picnic pavilion and grill, bikeways, jogging trails, and a jetty which extends 1.5 miles into the Bay, enabling fishing enthusiasts to cast from shore.

Approach from Sea: Located approximately 4.5 miles west of ICW Channel Markers "5" and "6", or the area better known as the Featherbeds.

Position: 25° 31.5' N., 80° 17.9' W. (outer channel marker).

Approach Depth: 4.9'.

Dockside Depth: 5.5'.

Monitors VHF Channel 16/Working Channel 68. Advanced reservations are requested. Call on VHF Channel 16 when approaching and you will be given docking instructions.

  • 9:00 - 9:30 p.m. - Fireworks presentation

The US Coast Guard's 7th District Auxiliary offers boating safety courses to civilians throughout the year starting in March.

Courses include: Navigation, GPS and "On the Water Training", where you actually go out on a Coast Guard Auxiliary boat and train with certified members.
