Rules Governing the Usage of Parks

While the parks are a place where families and individuals can gather for recreation and enjoyment, it should be remembered that there are some Don’ts that apply:

    Don’ts!

    • No dogs are allowed on park property (except those required for handicapped individuals) i.e. “seeing-eye dogs.” The only exception to this rule: Amelia Earhart Park (11900 NW 42 Ave.) This facility has a dedicated enclosed “Dog Park” for patron use.

    • Glass containers are not allowed.

    • Alcoholic beverages are permitted in picnic areas only!

    • Removal or damage to natural resources is prohibited!

    • Abandonment or feeding of feral animals is prohibited!

    • No vehicles are allowed off pavement.

    • No littering.

    • No overnight parking or camping is allowed!

    • No vending without a permit!

Unless otherwise posted, the hours of operation for all Miami-Dade County Parks are Sunrise to Sunset, 365 days a year. Exceptions being certain 24 hour launching ramps, marina access and directives issued by Miami-Dade County Government Officials in regards to natural disasters and emergencies.
