7th Annual Blue Water Fishing Classic Tournament

Welcome to Miami-Dade Parks’ 7th Annual Blue Water Fishing Classic presented by Haulover Marine Center, Saturday, June 5, 2010, 7 a.m. – 3 p.m.

The Blue Water Fishing Classic is a fishing tournament for amateur, professional and junior fishing enthusiasts. This annual event attracts anglers from throughout Miami-Dade County offering a total of $30,000 in cash and prizes. Winners are determined by the combined weight of the three largest fish within the species of dolphin, wahoo, black-fin tuna and kingfish.

The tournament operates from all six Miami-Dade County Marinas: Black Point Marina, Crandon Marina, Bill Bird Marina at Haulover, Herbert Hoover Marina at Homestead Bayfront Park, Matheson Hammock Marina and Pelican Harbor Marina.

Tournament festivities kick off on Thursday, June 3, with dinner, open bar and live music at the Captains Party. Then, it's off to the competition on Saturday, June 5. On Sunday, June 6, winners will receive their prizes at an awards ceremony and celebration with more food, fun and music.
