Dance and exercise with our Zumba fitness parties
On July 22 at 11 a.m. the Arcola Lakes Senior Center will be hosting the "Super Senior" Active Adults Zumba Fitness Party, and on July 25, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. the Tropical Park Equestrian Complex will host Zumba® Palooza Miami.
Get off your couch and enjoy a morning of heart-pumping exercise and dance rhythms that will have you sweating and grooving to the fitness routines.

TripAdvisor recently presented Miami-Dade Parks’ Zoo Miami with its first-time “Hall of Fame” award and a “Certificate of Excellence” for the fifth consecutive year.

2015 Summer Savings Pass
The Summer Savings Pass unlimited admission to Zoo Miami, Miami Seaquarium, Lion Country Safari, and Museum of Discovery & Science for one low price, and is valid from May 15 - Sept. 30. The costs is $56 plus tax, per adult and $46 plus tax, per child (ages 3-12).
2014 pass holders are eligible to purchase this pass for only $31 plus tax, per adult, and $21 plus tax, per child. To qualify for the Summer Savings Pass discounted rate, your Annual Pass must be valid through Sept. 30, 2014. Also, only named guests on your account are eligible for the discounted rate.
Heads Up: Concussion in youth sports
To help ensure the health and safety of young athletes, CDC developed the Heads Up: Concussion in Youth Sports initiative to offer information about concussions to coaches, parents, and athletes involved in youth sports.
The Heads Up initiative provides important information on preventing, recognizing, and responding to a concussion. It's Better to Miss One Game Than the Whole Season!
Walkability in Miami-Dade County
The video focuses showing effects of health on creating a walkable neighborhood. It touches on the dangers of our city becoming car-centric.
