Launched in the summer of 1996, this Hispanic cultural arts program offers students, ages 6 to 14, an opportunity to explore a variety of arts disciplines, discover their own interests and talents, and obtain a richer appreciation of Hispanic artistic forms and influences. These include percussion, puppetry, modern and ethnic dance, chorus, keyboard, guitar, arts and crafts, ceramics and more.

Raices has After-School, Summer, and school-break programs. Field trips are included in the Summer Program, and school-break sessions.

Raices is open to people of all ages and walks of life to experience the arts...to fill the theater, gallery and classrooms with sounds, colors and language of Hispanic culture. Raices Hispanic Cultural Arts Center at Miller Drive Park gives students, ages 6 – 14, the opportunity to learn about traditional and contemporary dance, music and visual arts through After School Arts Programs, Recess Camps and Summer Arts Camps. Most of all, Raices opens its door and shares its vision with others to celebrate, to create, to grow and to keep 'cultura' alive.
