CDMP Process

Day 238 -- 30 days since last step

BCC Transmittal Public Hearing

A Public Hearing at which the BCC takes final actions on Small-Scale and CIE applications and takes transmittal actions on Standard applications.

County Code deadline:

  • November (April Cycle)
  • May (October Cycle)

1) Miami Herald publishes ad

2) Attend Public Hearing

  • Applicant makes a presentation

3) Board makes decision

  • See results posted on: BCC Meetings 
  • If transmitted, see Standard Applications
  • If not transmitted, decision denied by BCC; process ends;
    • Application may be resubmitted as new application in another cycle (no Appeal Process).
  • Denied applications not transmitted to DCA

DP&Z, Planning Division:

  • Prepares ad for BCC Public Hearing
  • Sends ad to the Government Information Center
  • Compiles PAB minutes & attachments
  • Prepares BCC Agenda Kit for Public Hearing
  • Prepares transmittal resolution and ordinance for final action
  • Notifies affected parties (i.e. Municipalities, County Depts., etc) for Public Hearing
  • Prepares for BCC Public Hearing
  • Delivers Agenda Kit to distribution list:-all County Depts. -Assistant County Attorney -Mayor-file (drawer)-other staff as necessary
  • Assembles materials for Public Hearing
  • Applicant makes a presentation
  • Provides DCA Notice Request Form
  • Presents applications with QA
  • Receives updated covenants, if any
