Evaluation and Appraisal Report (EAR)
Every 7 years, the Comprehensive Development Master Plan (CDMP) is reviewed and updated as required per Chapter 163 of the Florida Statutes. The EAR evaluates the progress in implementing the goals, objectives, policies, maps and text of the CDMP and recommends changes through EAR-based plan amendments, which are to be prepared and adopted within 18 months of a sufficiency review conducted by the Florida Department of Community Affairs. In 2002, the legislature required preparation of an EAR, which in addition to evaluating the CDMP, would identify major issues of the community and analyze the adequacy of the CDMP in addressing these issues. The most recent EAR, adopted on October 28, 2003 by the Board of County Commissioners, is now available on-line and can be viewed by clicking on the links below.
