Planning Research Economic Unit

The Economic Unit is responsible for developing the official employment projections for the County. It closely monitors economic trends and provides timely studies and short reports about economic and social conditions for the County, as well as for commission districts and other areas. 

Miami-Dade County Employment Projections 2009-2030

The Economic Unit also develops statistical profiles, economic impact studies and economic modeling for the County. Further, it maintains a database necessary for planning of capital improvements in Miami-Dade reflecetd in the Capital Improvements Element (CIE) of the Comprehensive Development Master Plan (CDMP).
