    Parking & Fees

    What is the cost of parking?

    • Long term cruise passengers:
      $20.00 per night. 
    • Drop off and pick up per day:
      $7.00 daily for short term parking.

    • Is there reserved parking?

    There is no reserved parking. However, there is ample parking available.

    • Where to park recreational / oversized vehicles and what is the cost?

    Recreational Vehicles can park in Lot E (surface lot), directly across from Terminal E. There are also a limited number of parking spaces at Garage D directly across from Terminal D. Oversized vehicles are charged $20.00 per 20 feet in length or the equivalent to the number of parking spaces used per night.

    • Is there a cost for parking if you are disabled?

    Disabled parking in all the terminal parking facilities at the Port of Miami is free.  However, in order for the parking fees to be waived, appropriate documentation must be provided to the Toll Attendant upon exiting the parking garage.

    • Disabled Parking Checklist / Required Documents

    ____    Original Parking Sales Receipt/Parking Ticket Stub (No Copies)
    ____   Authentic Disability Placard/Permanent Disability License Plate

     ____   Letter/Card from DMV-(Dept. of Motor Vehicles) signifying who the Disability Placard is Assigned to (NOTE:
     applies to states that do not have a Driver's License # on placard!)

    • How can we pay?

    All of our Garages and Lot E accept cash, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, or any major U.S. Traveler's Check.  No debit card transactions are accepted.

    • Do we pay when we enter or exit?

    With the exception of Garage J you only pay upon exit of the parking facilities.

    • Should we drop off our luggage and passenger's first at the terminal?

    Yes, when possible, we would advise dropping off your luggage and passengers prior to parking. 


    • Where are the terminal and parking garage locations?

    Port Map.

    • Do you have storage lockers for luggage at the Port of Miami?

    Due to security regulations, storage lockers are not available on the Port. Contact your cruise line for luggage forwarding services. Please check with your cruise line for early baggage check in times. Baggage storage is available if your flight departs from Miami International Airport, for a fee. For additional information call 305-869-1163 or visit the airport site.  

    • What are the parking garage heights?

    • What is the rate for crew parking?

    The on-board crew member rate is $17.00 per week. Parking fees are paid in advance at the Cruise Operation Office.  For additional information call 305-347-5515.

    Transportation & Directions

    • What are the distances to the nearest airports?
      • Miami International Airport is 7.1 miles from the Port of Miami.
      • Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport is 25.7 miles from the Port of Miami.

    • What are the cost of taxis to Miami International Airport?

    Currently the fare between the Port of Miami and Miami International Airport is a flat rate of $24.00.

    • How available are taxi's at the Port of Miami?
      • There are plenty of Taxis available during cruise days at every terminal.  Other than the flat rate to and from Miami International Airport, taxis cost $2.40 upon entrance and $2.40 per mile thereafter.

    • Do you provide shuttle services's at the Port of Miami?

    The Port of Miami provides free shuttle service for passengers between the various Cruise Terminals and the Parking Facilities every 20-30 minutes.

    • Should we drop off our luggage and passenger's first at the terminal?

    Yes, when possible, we would advise dropping off your luggage and passengers prior to parking. 

    • What are the directions to the Port of Miami?
      • Directions From I-95:
      • GPS
        • Enter 1015 N. America Way, Miami, Florida 33132.
        • When you arrive on our bridge, turn your GPS off, stay in the left hand lane, and follow Cruise Terminal signs to your destination.
      • Mapquest
        • Enter the Port of Miami as the business location or our address; 1015 N. America Way, Miami, Florida 33132.
        • Scroll down the list until you see Miami-Dade County - Port of Miami and select this tab.
        • When you reach the bridge, ignore the remaining directions, stay in the left hand lane, and follow Cruise Terminal signs to your destination.

    • Is there public transportation from the Port of Miami to the Fort Lauderdale International Airport?

    Weekdays only Bus #243 (Seaport Shuttle) travels to the Metrorail Station (Transit Village Station) during peak hours (6:30AM-9:00AM & 3:00PM-6:00PM).  Take the Metrorail to the Tri-Rail Station.  Take the Tri-Rail to the Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood Airport Station and take the free Airport Shuttle to the Airport.  Please note there is no Seaport Shuttle bus service on the weekends.  However, the Port of Miami is a short cab ride to the Metrorail station, if needed.

    • What rental car agencies do business with the Port of Miami?

    There are no rental facilities on the Port of Miami. However, the following companies provide transport shuttle services from the Port to their rental offices:

    • What hotels are near the Port of Miami?
      • There are several hotels that are within a short distance from the Port of Miami. We suggest you contact the Greater Miami Convention at 1-800-933-8448 or visit their website, click the drop down menu visitors and click on accommodations and select Downtown area hotels for a list of hotels nearby.
      • Pre-and post-cruise activities:

    Embarkation & Disembarkation

    • What are the times of embarkation?

    It is recommended you arrive at least 2 hours prior to the embarkation time noted by your specific cruise line.  However, the Port recommends you always check with the cruise line for the latest embark/debark information.


    • At what time do you usually disembark from the ship?

    Typically, the ships arrive at the port around 6:30 AM. Debarkation begins as early as 7:00 AM.  If you are trying to plan flight arrangements, please allow ample time to clear Customs and Boarder Protection at the Seaport and security requirements at the Airport locations.

    • What are the distances to the nearest airports?

    • How safe is the Port of Miami?

    The Port of Miami is ranked as one of the safest Seaports in Florida.  The Port of Miami has it's own Security Division as well as Miami-Dade Police Department, Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Department, and other Federal Agencies on-site.

    • Do you have storage lockers for luggage at the Port of Miami?

    The Port of Miami does not set these policies. Please contact your cruise line directly or Customs and Border Protection located at the Port of Miami at (305) 536-4758, or visit their website for additional information.  

    • What are our channel depths?
      •  Cargo Side:
        Our entrance channel, eastern turning basin and Fisherman's Channel on our south side are 42 feet.
      • Cruise Side
        Government Cut on our north side runs is 40 feet along the center of the channel, easing up to 36 feet at the north side bulkhead where the cruise ships dock.

    Lost and Found

    Is there a lost and found department at the Port of Miami? There is no lost and found department at the Port of Miami. Lost and Found items in the terminals are collected and stored by the cruise lines. For additional information contact:
