    Mayor Carlos A. GimenezMayor Carlos Gimenez is Miami-Dade County's top elected official and administrator who oversees 25 County Departments including the Port of Miami. Prior to his election as mayor four months ago, Gimenez served on the Board of County Commissioners for seven years. Gimenez, a 25-year veteran of the City of Miami's Fire and Rescue Department (including nine years a chief), also served as City Manager from May 2000 to January 2003.

    Bill JohnsonBill Johnson, Director of the Port of Miami, oversees the top container port in the State of Florida and the 11th largest in the nation. Under his stewardship, the Port of Miami, has maintained its position as the leading cruise port in the world with a record 4.33 million passengers in 2010. Appointed Port Director in 2006, Johnson has presided over a period of significant change and investment in port operations and facilities with more than $2 billion in capital improvements now underway.

Over the past four decades, he has conducted more than 500 port economic, planning and marketing studies for seaports, terminal operators and ocean carriers in the United States, Asia, Europe and South America. He is the president of Martin Associates, which he founded in 1986, and has provided economic, market and planning studies to most of the seaports in the United States.
