Metrorail Schedules

Metrorail's regular schedule may vary up to 12 minutes during “single tracking,” when southbound and northbound trains alternate trips on the same track while maintenance is being conducted on the opposite track. To ensure you reach your destination on time, view Today's Schedule below.

If you are using the regular schedule to plan your transit trip a day or more ahead of time, use the single tracking information provided above. You also can check Transit Tracker at top left for real-time train departure times

Metrorail Service Update:

  • Metrorail single-tracking schedule for the week and weekend: Metrorail performs track preventive maintenance and repair work after 8:30 p.m. weekdays and all day on weekends. In the areas where work is being done, northbound and southbound trains will alternate (single track) service on the same track while maintenance is being performed on the opposite track. 

    Thursday, September 11, 2014:
    • Single tracking between Earlington Heights and Culmer stations
    • Green Line: Southbound trains from the Palmetto Station will depart every 35 minutes from 9:39 p.m. until midnight. Northbound trains from Dadeland South will depart every 35 minutes from 9:25 p.m. until 11:48 p.m. (last departure will be 12:10 a.m.)
    • Orange Line: Southbound trains from MIA Station will depart every 35 minutes from 9:21 p.m. until 12:17 a.m. Northbound trains will depart from Dadeland South Station every 35 minutes from 9:22 p.m. until 11:45 p.m.
    Friday, September 12, 2014:
    • Single tracking between Douglas Road and Dadeland South stations
    • Green Line: Southbound trains from the Palmetto Station will depart every 35 minutes from 9:27 pm until 11:54 pm. Northbound trains from Dadeland South will depart every 35 minutes from 9:51 pm until 12:11 am.
    • Orange Line: Southbound trains from MIA Station will depart every 35 minutes from 9:03 pm until 12:13 am.  Northbound trains will depart from Dadeland South Station every 35 minutes from 9:48 pm until 12:08 am. 
    Saturday, September 13 to Sunday, September 14, 2014:
    • Single tracking between Douglas Road and Dadeland South stations
    • Green Line: The first southbound train leaving the Palmetto Station will depart 5 minutes earlier at 5:07 am. After that, trains will depart every 35 minutes until 11:12 pm, with the last train leaving at 11:54 pm. The first two northbound trains will depart the the Dadeland South station at 5:08 am and 5:33 am. For the rest of the day, trains will depart every 35 mintuesuntil 11:38 pm, with the last train leaving at 12:13 am.
    • Orange Line: The first southbound train from MIA will depart at 5:20 am and trains will run every 35 minutes until 11:25 pm. The last train will leave at 12:13 am  The first two northbound trains from Dadeland South will leave at 5:05 am and 5:30 am and continue running every 35 minutes until 12:10 am.
    Monday, September 15 to Thursday, September 18, 2014:
    • Single tracking between Earlington Heights and Culmer stations
    • Green Line: Southbound trains from the Palmetto Station will depart every 35 minutes from 9:39 p.m. until midnight. Northbound trains from Dadeland South will depart every 35 minutes from 9:25 p.m. until 11:48 p.m. (last departure will be 12:10 a.m.)
    • Orange Line: Southbound trains from MIA Station will depart every 35 minutes from 9:21 p.m. until 12:17 a.m. Northbound trains will depart from Dadeland South Station every 35 minutes from 9:22 p.m. until 11:45 p.m.
    Track your Train: To ensure you get to your destination on time during single tracking, arrive at your train station a few minutes earlier, or track your train arrival with Train Tracker. You can also call Customer Services at 305-891-3131 to obtain more details on the single tracking schedule.
