    Metrorail Parking

Park at any Metrorail surface lot or parking garage for just $4 a day seven days a week, including holidays, when you ride Metrorail. Or, buy the monthly parking permit sold for $10 to  Metropass users. Golden Passport and Patriot Passport users, who also must pay to park at Metrorail, can pay the $4 daily parking fee or buy the $10 monthly parking permit. Metrorail station parking fees may be higher for special events and for non-transit patrons. People with disabilities park free at Metrorail stations, as long as a state-issued parking permit for people with disabilities is displayed on the rearview mirror. Note: The monthly rail parking permit is not valid at privately-owned and municipal parking lots and garages.

Parking is available at these Metrorail stations:
(Click on a station name for more details.)

    Surface parking: Garage parking:

No parking is available at Brickell, Government Center, Culmer, and Civic Center stations. Although Metrorail doesn't offer parking at Government Center Station in downtown Miami, many municipal and privately-owned garages and surface lots are within walking distance. Costs may vary.

    Parking Receipt Machines
Parking receipt machines accept coins only and issue a parking receipt. Use US dollar coins, or any combination of quarters, dimes, and nickels adding up to the $4 daily (seven days a week) parking fee. Your train fare and the parking fee are paid separately and before you board the train.

If You Pay Daily to Park
Remember your parking space number. It's painted on the pavement in each space. Before entering the station, be sure to have $4 in coins for parking. Parking receipt machines don't accept dollar bills. Look for change machines at the entrance to the station near the turnstiles.

Now, pay your train fare and enter the station. At the parking receipt machine, punch in your parking space number. Then deposit $4 (seven days a week) in any combination of coins, including US dollar coins. Take your receipt before boarding the train. Keep it until returning to your car.

    Parking With a Monthly Permit
Riders who use Metropass, the Golden Passport, or the Patriot Passport can buy a $10 monthly parking permit. With the permit, there is no $4 daily charge to park. However, the permit must be displayed at all times on the rearview mirror and be visible to the parking enforcement officer.

The $100 Metropass and $50 Discount Metropass (for Medicare cardholders and other elderly, people with disabilities, and youth) are sold countywide. Call 305-770-3131 (305-891-3131, south of SW 216 Street) for the nearest outlet. You can also save on each Metropass purchase by buying in groups of five or more. For more information on Group Metropass discounts, call 786-469-5558, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

    Parking Tips

    • Arrive at the station with exact change in coins. You'll need the train fare and the $4 daily parking fee. Change machines are located in the front of the station in the unpaid area.
    • Park in marked spaces only, head first. No back-in parking.
    • Hang your monthly parking permit from the rearview mirror. The permit must be visible to enforcement personnel.
    • Or use coins, not dollar bills, to pay to park.
    • Parking receipt machines are located inside the station, usually near the transfer machines.
    • There's no need to return to your car to place your receipt in the window.
    • Parking citations will be issued to anyone who violates parking rules (back of the permit) or fail to pay the $4 daily (seven days a week) fee.
    • Parking permits are only for the use of riders who buy a monthly Metropass or Golden Passport and Patriot Passport users.
    • Miami-Dade County and Miami-Dade Transit are not responsible for damage, theft, or vandalism to vehicles or their content.
    • Riders with a state-issued parking permit or license plate for people with disabilities may park free in spaces designated for disabled riders.
