As part of the Miami-Dade Transit's Metrorail AirportLink Project, the following closures will be implemented in order to conduct activities necessary for the construction of the new Metrorail extension.
Night Closure of S.R.112 Westbound Exit Ramp to NW 27 Avenue
The SR 112 westbound exit ramp to NW 27 Avenue will be temporarily closed for one night on Friday, June 4. The ramp will be closed at 9:00 p.m. and reopen at 5:30 a.m. the following morning. This closure is for one night only. Detour signs will be posted directing motorists to alternate routes. Below are the detours.
NW 27 Avenue Detours
- S.R. 112 Westbound Traffic: Motorists traveling on S.R. 112 westbound wishing to access NW 27 Avenue will be directed to take exit ramp to NW 22 Avenue/NW 41 Street. Continue on NW 41 Street to access NW 27 Avenue.
Nightly Closure of NW 38 Court
All lanes on NW 38 Court between NW 39 Avenue and NW 25 Street will be completely closed nightly starting Monday, June 7 through Friday, June 11. The closure will commence at 9:00 p.m. each night and reopen at 5:00 a.m. the following mornings. Detour signs will be posted directing motorists to alternate routes. Below are the detours.
NW 38 Court Detours
- NW 26 Street Eastbound Traffic: Motorists traveling east on NW 26 Street will be directed to turn right on NW 39 Avenue. Continue south on NW 39 Avenue to access NW 25 Street.
- NW 39 Avenue Southbound Traffic: Motorists traveling south on NW 39 Avenue will be directed to continue on NW 39 Avenue to access NW 25 Street.
- NW 25 Street Eastbound and Westbound Traffic: Motorists traveling on either direction on NW 25 Street will be directed to NW 39 Avenue.
Nightly Closure of NW 25 Street
All eastbound and westbound lanes between NW 39 Avenue and NW 37 Avenue will be completely closed nightly starting Wednesday, June 16 through Thursday, July 1. The closure will commence at 9:00 p.m. each night and reopen at 5:00 a.m. the following mornings. Detour signs will be posted directing motorists to alternate routes. Below are the detours.
NW 25 Street Detours
- South River Drive Northbound Traffic: Motorists traveling north on South River Drive who wish to access area west of NW 39 Avenue on NW 25 Street will be directed to continue to NW 31 Street and make a left. Continue west on NW 31 Street and turn left on NW 42 Avenue (South LeJeune Road). Continue on south on NW 42 Avenue (South LeJeune Road) and turn left on NW 25 Street.
- NW 37 Avenue Northbound Traffic: Motorists traveling north on NW 37 Avenue who wish to access area west of NW 39 Avenue on NW 25 Street will be directed to turn right on NW 25 Street. Continue east on NW 25 Street and turn left on South River Drive. Continue northwest on South River Drive and turn left on NW 31 Street. Continue west on NW 31 Street and turn left on NW 42 Avenue (S.R. 953/South LeJeune Road). Continue south on NW 42 Avenue (S.R. 953/South LeJeune Road) and turn left on NW 25 Street.
- NW 25 Street Eastbound Traffic: Motorists traveling east on NW 25 Street who wish to access area east of NW 37 Avenue on NW 25 Street will be directed to turn left on NW 39 Avenue. Continue north on NW 39 Avenue and turn left on NW 27 Street. Continue west on NW 27 Street and turn right on NW 42 Avenue (S.R. 953/North LeJeune Road). Continue north on NW 42 Avenue (S.R. 953/North LeJeune Road) and turn right on NW 31 Street. Continue northeast on NW 31 Street and turn right on South River Drive. Continue southeast on South River Drive and turn right on NW 25 Street.

The AirportLink project is a 2.4-mile elevated Metrorail extension from the existing Earlington Heights Metrorail Station to the MIC next to Miami International Airport. This vital project will provide a reliable Metrorail connection to the airport for the millions of residents, visitors and employees who travel to and from MIA every year.
