(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- Due to safety measures, the following closure has been revised in order to conduct necessary construction activities for Miami-Dade Transit's AirportLink over SR 112 eastbound and westbound.
Four Night Full Mainline Closure of SR 112:
On Friday, August 13th, Saturday, August 14th, Monday, August 16th, and Tuesday, August 17th, SR 112 eastbound and westbound will be closed from 9:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. each night - there will be no closures on Sunday, August 15th. All eastbound lanes will be closed between NW 42nd Avenue/LeJeune Road and NW 22nd Avenue, and all westbound lanes will be closed between NW 27th Avenue and NW 42nd Avenue/LeJeune Road. All lanes will be open the following morning at 5:30 a.m. Detour signs will be posted directing motorists to the below alternate routes. This closure was originally scheduled from Sunday, August 15th through Tuesday, August 17th.
- SR 112 westbound Detours:
- SR 112 westbound to LeJeune Road and Miami International Airport: Motorists traveling on SR 112 westbound to LeJeune Road or the Miami International Airport (MIA) will be directed to exit at NW 27th Avenue and head north to NW 46th Street. They will need to continue west on NW 46th Street which will turn into SE 8th Street (Hialeah) and then turn south onto NW 42nd Avenue/LeJeune Road/SE 8th Avenue. For those heading to MIA they will need to take the SR 112/21st Street ramp at LeJeune Road for direct access to the airport.
- SR 112 westbound to East Okeechobee Road: Motorists traveling on SR 112 westbound to East Okeechobee Road will be directed to exit at NW 27th Avenue and head southbound to NW 36th Street. They will need to continue west on NW 36th Street and then turn north onto East Okeechobee Road.
- SR 112 westbound to NW 36th Street: Motorists traveling on SR 112 westbound to NW 36th Street will be directed to exit at NW 27th Avenue and head southbound. They will continue southbound on NW 27th Avenue and turn west onto NW 36th Street.
- SR 112 eastbound Detours:
- NW 36th Street to SR 112 eastbound: Motorists traveling east on NW 36th Street who wish to access SR 112 eastbound will be directed to head northbound on NW 22nd Avenue and take the entrance ramp to SR 112 eastbound.
- NW 21th Street to SR 112 eastbound: Motorists traveling west on NW 21th Street who wish to access SR 112 eastbound will be directed to head northbound on NW 42nd Avenue/LeJeune Road and turn east on NW 36th Street then head northbound on NW 22nd Avenue to take the SR 112 eastbound ramp.
- East Okeechobee Road to SR 112 eastbound: Motorists traveling on East Okeechobee Road who wish to access SR 112 eastbound will be directed to head eastbound on NW 36th Street to northbound NW 22nd Avenue and take the eastbound entrance ramp to SR 112.
Please note that the left (northernmost) lane on SR 112 eastbound is and will remain closed until further notice.

The AirportLink project is a 2.4-mile elevated Metrorail extension from the existing Earlington Heights Metrorail Station to the MIC next to Miami International Airport. This vital project will provide a reliable Metrorail connection to the airport for the millions of residents, visitors and employees who travel to and from MIA every year.
