Special Metrorail service interruption and Metrobus detours

(Miami-Dade County, FL) --
Today, August 18, 2010, due to Miami-Dade Police Department activity, Metrorail may experience a temporary delay in service between 4:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. Metromover will not be affected and will provide regular service.

Due to City of Miami Beach Police enforced street closures, buses that run on Collins Avenue between 41st and 46th streets will be detoured from approximately 4:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Metrobus routes affected by these detours are: J (110), L (112), S (119) and 120 Beach MAX Adobe Reader. Customers can also expect delays on routes C (103) and M (113).

During the street closures, customers will need to head south to 41st Street to connect to detoured buses, or north to 47th Street to connect to a special shuttle bus Adobe Reader that will connect them to the detoured buses. Miami-Dade Transit supervisors will be on site to help customers in the affected area.

To view the detour maps, visit Miami-Dade Transit's website at www.miamidade.gov/transit, or call 305-891-3131 for more information.
