(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- EXTENDED: Complete Nightly Closure of NW 25th Street
The below closure has been extended in order to complete connection of both sections of the guideway to the new Miami International Airport Metrorail station.
The complete closure of all eastbound and westbound lanes on NW 25th Street between NW 39th Avenue and NW 37th Avenue has been extended to continue from now through Saturday, October 2 from 9:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. This closure was originally scheduled from Thursday, August 12th through Monday, August 16th. The closure will not be implemented for Labor Day weekend, from Thursday, September 2nd to Wednesday, September 8th. Detour signs will be posted directing motorists to the below alternate routes.
- NW 37th Avenue Northbound and South River Drive Northbound: Motorists traveling north on NW 37th Avenue who wish to head west to NW 39th Avenue will be directed to turn east on NW 25th Street and head north on South River Drive to NW 31st Street to NW 42nd Avenue/LeJeune Road. Motorists will then be directed to head south on NW 42nd Avenue/LeJeune Road to NW 25th Street where they can head east to NW 39th Avenue.
- NW 25th Street Eastbound: Motorists traveling east on NW 25th Street who wish to access NW 37th Avenue will be directed to turn north on NW 39th Avenue to NW 27th Street and then west to northbound NW 42nd Avenue/LeJeune Road. They will be then be directed to turn east on NW 31st Street and south on South River Drive to access NW 25th Street where they can turn west to NW 37th Avenue.
