New Commissioners Sworn In

On December 16, 2012, a new set of county youth commissioners were sworn into the Miami-Dade County Youth Commission. They are all adolescents, some more experienced than others in the roles of government, but all share the same purpose, to serve you, the youth. Thirty new commissioners were sworn in today, and will have a year-long term with the option to renew. Congratulations to all the new and returning youth commissioners.

Miami-Dade County Youth Commission

The Miami-Dade County Youth Commission was created by to provide young people with a way to participate in the process of County government. Motivated students from each Commission district represent and articulate the needs of youth in Miami-Dade and advise the Mayor and Board of County Commissioners on matters affecting the youth population.

The commission was established for one sole purpose: to let your voice be heard. Be active, get involved, and participate. Without you, this commission wouldn't exist.  Let your voice be heard.
